Open Positions:
Web Programmer/Developer (Part-time)
Summary: Aelearn has an immediate opening for a Web programmer/developer. You must have knowledge of Object Oriented Programming concepts, HTML (hand-coding capabilities, without the help of an HTML WYSIWYG editor), PHP, XML, JavaScript, CSS, and MySQL.
You will be expected to plan, research, develop logic, code, as well as test and deploy several Web projects while working in a team environment. You should know how to build a PHP web application, as well as modify and build on existing code.
Ideal candidate is located in Pinellas County (Seminole, Florida area) and is seeking a long-term position.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate in Science Degree (computer related) –or- 1-2 years of completed post-secondary education and current enrollment
- 2 years experience preferred but not required.
- Certifications are a plus (MCSE, A+, CCNA, CCIE, etc.)
Compensation: Starting at $12 per hour

Responsibilities to include:
- Development & maintenance of aelearn’s web applications
- Custom application, or new module, specifications
- Ensuring quality of work through development and implementation of QA procedures and standards
- Collaborating and assisting other developers
- Accurately outlining work task breakdowns for programming side of new projects
- Accurately estimating time frames for work completion and hitting them
- Working with team to educate project managers about programming solutions
- Supporting aelearn’s users over the phone and via email to troubleshoot computer and/or web browsing difficulties.
- Ability to troubleshoot and install computer hardware and software
- Assisting in Server and Network Administration needs
- Ability to work with users on the phone and via email to troubleshoot computer and/or web browsing difficulties
Qualifications:
- Willingness to be active in a structured team environment – aelearn believes in encouraging each other and rewarding for successes on an individual and team basis.
- Experience with building highly interactive, highly trafficked, database driven web applications.
Technical Skill Set:
- Good understanding of object oriented programming and programming principles.
- Understanding of the PHP programming language, HTML, Cascading Style Sheets, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of Web protocols and programming requirements.
- Understanding of MySQL database (developer fundamentals).

Helpdesk Representative (Part-time)
Summary: Seeking a helpdesk representative to aid in troubleshooting and support needs for users in online environments for several clients and varied Learning Management Systems. Includes 20+ hours of paid helpdesk training. This job is to be considered entry level. Flexible hours are a must.
Ideal candidate is located in Pinellas County (Seminole, Florida area) and is seeking a long-term position.

- Basic Computer Knowledge
- 1-2 years experience in a customer service field preferred.
Compensation: Starting at $10 per hour

- Desire to learn new technologies and apply them in a work environment

Flexible hours are a must, as this is an on-call position. Work schedule will most likely include weekends only. Compensation will be $200/on-call weekend.
Candidates may work from home (WFH) or on location.

After-hours Helpdesk Representative (Weeknights)
