Advanced E-Learning Solutions President, Eric Eberhardt, will be featured on this year’s MDA telethon on September 3, 2007. The interview will be conducted by Tampa Bay ABC Action News by Brendon McLachlan and will air on local Florida ABC affiliates on Labor Day.

Eric, who is diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, has been a patient of the MDA since 2001. Recently, Eric and his wife joined the local MDA Peer Mentor Group as volunteers to mentor teens through the challenges and adversities of being successful and independent with a disability.

Through some 225 hospital-affiliated clinics, MDA offers quality medical care from doctors, nurses and therapists experienced in dealing with neuromuscular diseases. These clinics also serve as sites for clinical trials of the latest experimental therapies and drugs. MDA also offers about 290 support groups for those with neuromuscular diseases and their families. In addition, each year more than 4000 youngsters attend weeklong MDA summer camps.
